1.Was there a specific scene that got to you? Describe and explain how it moved you (Angry? Curious? Delighted? Motivated?) Give a lot of  detail, and really dive in to explain how it affected you. Don’t hold back.
Probably the scene that got to me the most was when the lime workers were getting laid to rest. One day the lime land owner couldn’t pay the Templars money, so in turn, the Templars decided to slaughter some of the workers. Men, women and children were killed. All were unarmed and didn’t stand a chance. That was the Templars way of punishing the lime land owner for not paying them.
2.What surprised you?
Probably what surprised me the most was when the show introduces Tim “Nailer” Foley. He is the leader of the Arizona Border Recon. According to Foley He says that “he is technically vigilantes, upholding the law where there is no law”. He Believes that he is the only law enforcement power where he lives and patrols and like he says “it’s a hour and a half out of Tucson”, what is he supposed to do, wait a hour and a half and hope that nothing bad happens? I’ve heard about the cartels on the news, but I feel the news doesn’t go in depth to how bad it really in Mexico and how people taking the law into their own hands. Foley was the first person that I have heard that actually explains how bad it is down.

3.What questions remain after the viewing? What feelings stayed with you after the film? Did they “pop up” in your life in unexpected ways? When? How? What was that like?
One big question I have revolves around Foley. How does he get away with patrolling the border? Is the U.S. Government afraid to intervene so they leave it up to these so called “vigilante’s”? People like Foley are risking there lives and not receiving and money or benefits from it.
4.What problematic concepts do you see in the film, concepts you might research and write about? Try to come up with at least five.

1.    What is the U.S. Border Patrol doing to fight against the cartels?
2.    What is the overall moral of the U.S Border Patrol?
3.    How much head way are the militia army’s making against the cartels?
4.    How many cartels are there?

5.    I would like to see more on the cartels, how are they set up internally, what kicked off this all out war like nature in Mexico?
